The week from Hell...

My last post I was optimistic that Madden was feeling better. I felt like she had turned a corner and was starting to feel better. She did break out with a rash on Tuesday, the same day the fever broke, which made me wonder whether the fever, sleepiness and lack of appetite was caused by Roseola. She stayed home with Matt Wednesday and slept all day, then spent the day with Aunt Michelle on Thursday, where she proceeded to eat barely anything. She was so sad to watch. She would nap for a couple hours and then eventually she would want to get down and play. However, she just didn't have it in her. I would head to the kitchen for 2 minutes and come back to find her face down on the floor. I worried about dehydration, but I called after hours and the doctor didn't seem to be worry, then Thursday night she threw up a few bottles, so I decided to take her in on Friday. Turns out Alicia and Mom's suspicion of Roseola was correct, that is exactly what Dr. Ocho thought, and Madden was not dehydrated. It may have seemed like a wasted trip, but I got some piece of mind. So we came home with big plans of getting outside and getting some fresh air this weekend. The zoo was considered or just staying home cleaning up the flower beds. That ended all too soon, this time it wasn't Madden, but Mommy and Daddy who were sick. Matt and I both came down with an awful stomach ache after dinner and by 10:00 we were both throwing up. So,Grandma Hovey got to come up and stay the night with Madden while Matt and I took turns in the bathroom all night. Madden seemed excited at the prospect of a pajama party and didn't go to bed until well after 11:00. I have never been sick like that before in my life. I truely thought my gullbladder was going to explode. We made it through the night alive and spent all of Saturday in bed, luckily Grandma was willing to hang around a little longer. Today I laid low again, still not feeling up to par or interested in food. Matt seems to be feeling better that I, even going out for a shopping excursion while Madden and I napped.

Mom went home Saturday with an upset stomach, so I am hoping that we didn't make her sick. She still isn't feeling better today. I thought Matt and I had food poisoning, not a bug... Mom's could be totally unrelated. We have so much going around school right now, the kids are dropping like flies and between being home with sick children and being sick themselves so are the teachers. Spring Break can't come fast enough...

Here is a pick of the rash, it really doesn't do justice, by Friday it had consumed her cheeks, they were one big red blotch.

What Mommy, you want to read the paper? Madden raising hell on Sunday. Do you think she's feeling better?

This is Madden's cheeze ball smile. She is such a little goober! You can see the rash is getting better.

This was Wednesday. She wanted to get down to play so I went to the kitchen to start dinner. Not even 2 minutes later I looked over to check on her and she was sleeping face down on the floor. So sad....
