It's been a long time since I've posted. We've celebrated holidays and finally gotten back into the swing of things at school. We had an incredible holiday, the best yet, for sure. It didn't start off to a smooth start. The stomach bug hit the house hard the weekend after Thanksgiving. Madden had Bronchitis and an ear infection that same week, the stomach bug hit again the following weekend and Grady had a double ear infection, one of which ruptured, the entire month. By Christmas week, we were feeling well and ready to celebrate and relax. Madden got a doll house from Santa, exactly what she asked for. Grady got a rocking horse. They each got lots of other great presents from their Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles.
Madden was very sad to see the holiday season end, as was I. With all the illness in the house, it went by rather fast. We have lots to look forward to in 2011. February will bring the birth of a new Soluri baby. Mike and Jess are due around Matt's birthday. Since Christian and Andrew share a birthday, I'm certain Matt and Moxon will also. We'll see. I'm sure Jess will welcome a birth date sooner, rather than later.
Grady has started getting on all fours. He can roll and scoot and sit himself up. So he can get most anywhere, but I'm sure he'll be more satisfied when he can crawl. I, however, am in no hurry. He still proves to be a stinky sleeper. Between illness and teeth, sleeping through the night doesn't happen very often. However, during the day, he's so laid back. He's epecially happy when there's food around. He was 20lbs 6oz at his 8 month appointment. That's more than Madden weighed at 13 months. He seems so big to me, but compared to other 9 month olds he's about average for weight and a little above average for his length.
The pictures below are from the month of December.

Madden's first outing this year.

Breakfast with Santa at the Fire Hall. Madden was a little shy, but did not hesitate to walk up to him and sit on his lap.
