Softball has started for me. I am sharing the responsibilites with another coach and it is going great. She has two young boys at home so it's working out great for both of us so far.
I am anxiously awaiting spring. The birds are upon us, yesterday we were swarmed with 50+ red winged black birds, it was like nothing I have ever seen before. The cow birds (don't know if that's their real name) have started nesting the soffit again, so Matt has to get up there and get them out before they have babies in there. Maybe this year we'll actually get it closed up... I can't wait to start getting out side. I have some work to do in my flower beds, I never cut back my perennials or pulled up my annuals last fall.
Madden woke up with a yucky eye Friday morning, she seemed fine, so I left it alone, but then Saturday morning it was worse, her nose was running like crazy and she had a fever of 101. So I took her to the doctor and she has pink eye and an ear infection in at least one ear. Sunday her fever still hadn't broke, it was 103 at one point. She seems to be feeling a little better today, she woke up with a 102.3 temp, but it dropped to 100.1 in an hour, so hopefully it's finally broke.
The sun set over the lake. It's hard to see in the picture, but you can see the lake great this time of year. Once the leaves are on, you have to be upstairs to see the lake.
You can see some of the apple trees in this picture. They all made it through the winter! I am praying for apples this fall. I just need to find a way to keep the damn deer out of them. There were 4 of them out there this morning...
"Hi daddy, can I have a ride?"
Look here comes Daddy.
