Halloween, Cereal and Teeth... Lots to report!

So, we finally did it. Madden was begging me and I finally gave in. ;) On Halloween, instead of going trick-or-treating, Madden tried cereal. Matt thought she was too little for cereal (turns out he thought cereal meant I was going to feed her cheerios) but she was very ready for it. Here is the video of her first feeding and some pics of her eating.

Madden was a Pumpkin for Halloween. Here the pics I took of her.

Madden loves her high chair. She loves to sit at it and ban on the tray!

Madden had her 6 month check up today, which meant 4 shots. Shots are the worst. Matt got to experience it this time, too, he didn't like it much. It's so hard when they are this little because you can't warn them. I think when they are this little they get over it quicker though. She weighs 15lbs 8oz and is 27 inches long. She is in the 50 percentile for her weight and the 90th for her height. He said now that she's had cereal for almost 2 weeks we can start giving her some veggies. The weaning has started going REALLY well. I had decided about a month ago that I wanted to have her weaned by Thanksgiving, however, Madden was not digging the soy formula. She would get a mouth full of it and then spit it out. So I was mixing it for a while with my milk (because my milk is superior ;) ) and now she will finally take it "straight up." I am feeling so much better about weaning now that she likes the formula. I felt guilty making her drink it if it tastes yucky, but I don't think it was the taste that bothered her, it needed to be hotter.

Last Friday I happened to peak at her gums and noticed she has a tooth breaking through! So lots of ora-gel, tylenol and teethers!
